Advice – Alarm stage selection

Our partner, E2S Warning Signals – a global leader in industrial visual signals – has alarm horns and selected multi-function beacons equipped with two, three, or four configurable alarm stages. The sections below explain how each alarm stage is activated.

AC-Powered Units

• Stage 1: Apply power to the unit only
• Stage 2: Apply power and close the contact at S2 (Stage 2)
• Stage 3: Apply power and close the contact at S3 (Stage 3)
• Stage 4 (programmable units only): Apply power and close both stage contacts

⚠️ Important:
Alarm stage switching must be performed using the dedicated “C” (Common) terminal. Do not switch stages using the neutral conductor.

DC-Powered Units

• Stage 1: Apply power to the unit only
• Stage 2: Apply power and close the contact at S2 (Stage 2)
• Stage 3: Apply power and close the contact at S3 (Stage 3)
• Stage 4 (programmable units only): Apply power and close both stage contacts
